I hear Comodo Firewall is a good free Firewall. What are your thoughts, is there better abd free?

Comodo is a great firewall, but its extremely user unfriendly and difficult to get setup but if you go through the effort and get it setup properly its pretty awesome.

Most people would have a bit of trouble, for people not to tech savy i just recommend AVAST as a  good free anti virus and peerblock as  a sort of firewall and to reduce chance of DMCAS. Avast has  a decent firewall that’s pretty simple to setup and iv’e uploaded a avast pro license to the piratebay if you want to use it.

If your wanting to use comodo tho there’s a bunch of Torrents for it.

let us know if we can help .

on vista, if i run the openvpn gui > connect > open Tor browser bundle, and i check for DNS leaks, i don't see any. does it sound like i'm doing this right? what should be my next biggest concern to keep everyone but me knowing whatever i'm doing?

It sounds like your doing pretty good, i would recommend checking for different browser extensions next that might boost your privacy, and Using Pidgin with OTR for any Instant messaging (i recommend using jabber) next.

What are the things that make it possible for people to track my IP? My tweets, my Facebook...?

mostly peer to peer things, they would have to connect to you things like torrent, skype etc. or if they setup a  trap on their own website which is why you shouldn’t click strangers links.

Is there a way to protect against bad nodes in Tor? Ones that could log everything from passwords to search history etc?

well (bad nodes) wouldn’t be able to obtain much other then the relay you connected to before them and any traffic that isnt using HTTPS which is why tor browser comes with https everywhere

bad tor nodes tor https passwords history
